Ultra High Pressure Liquid Chromatography
Fortis Technologies 2.1um particle technology
New to the market is a specially designed optimised small particle for use in ultra high pressure chromatography (UHPLC), optimise the operation of your Jasco X-LC(TM), Agilent 1200(R) or Acquity UPLC(R) system
2.1um particles can be used in gaining resolution and sensitivity under the correct operating conditions, isocratic conditions, long columns (>100mm) shallow gradients can all bring out the best in small particles. 2.1um Fortis particles provide all the efficiency of moving to sub 2um without all of the backpressure. Lower backpressure will lead to longer column lifetimes and less system stress. Fortis 2.1um particles can also be used in traditional (400bar max operating pressure) LC systems.

2.1um Fortis particles are fully scalable with traditional 3um and 5um particles. Available in several phase chemistries, such as C18, C8, Phenyl. Please request further information to find out the full selectivity available, and what separations can be achieved. Check out our Fortis Phenyl page to see the selectivity that can be achieved with Fortis Phenyl and its unique di-phenyl character. Click here
Choose betwen speed and resolution when moving to small particles, sensitivity will increase with the increased efficiency afforded by Fortis 2.1um particles.

If you are looking for High throughput screening (HTS) we would still recommend a 3um particle with high flow rates in order to achieve the best peak capacities. Try Fortis Pace columns packed with the stationary phase of your choice in order to improve your speed of analysis. Find out more about Fortis Pace >>
